These flute taps are suitable for tapping through and blind holes in steel. They are made of copper and long chipping materials. Spiral fluted taps are available in short reinforced and long shanks with 12 degrees left hand used for through holes whereas slow spiral with 50 degrees right hand are used for blind holes.
